Australasian Polymer Discussion Group
The Australasian Polymer Discussion Group was formed to fulfill a number of important roles for the polymer community, namely to provide a forum for discussion of current developments in polymer research, to encourage interaction between tertiary education, institutions, government establishments and industry, and to promote coordination of polymer research in Australasia and application to worthwhile problems. To achieve these aims the APDG holds meetings roughly every one-two years usually within the campus of the ANU. A list of the topics covered in previous meetings is given below.
1. (1983) D. H. Solomon Free Radical Polymerization (Canberra)
2. (1984) J. H. O'Donnell Polymer Degradation (Canberra)
3. (1985) D. R. G. Williams Physical and Mechanical Properties (Ballarat)
4. (1986) R. G. Gilbert Polymerization: Kinetics and Mechanisms (Canberra)
5. (1987) G. A. George Polymer Spectroscopy (Canberra)
