The afternoon of December 3rd is available for delegates
to join one of our pre-arranged tours or to explore
Melbourne at their own pace. There is much to see and do in Melbourne. All tours are optional events - at an additional cost. To ensure your place tours should be booked when you register.
CHOCOLATE AND SWEET TEMPTATIONS WALK $50.00pp / 1.00pm – 4.30pm
In historical Howey Place, a taste sensation has launched itself into this tour (and consequently our taste buds). David Medlow Chocolates, a leading pectin jelly confectioner from the McLaren Vale wine region, now combines natural fruit flavours with rich Belgian couverture, seducing us, chocoholics, instantly with exquisite richness.
Then a short walk takes us to Haigh's Chocolates in the Block Arcade, the most elegant arcade in Melbourne, where we will be seduced by unique flavours and exclusive designs. But there is more... A stroll along the Bourke Street Mall will lead us to the snug and old fashioned world of The Pancake Parlour, where rich pancakes will hit our palate.
At the Paris end of Collins Street the tour finishes with a 'behind the scenes' visit to the pastry kitchen of Sofitel Melbourne, where chefs prepare deliciously tempting desserts. And, just when we thought we couldn't possibly eat anymore, there's afternoon tea at one of the hotel's luxurious salons. A delicious ending to this sweet experience!
